If a republican says something religious or is seen at church, he is treated like a religious nut who might drop the bomb because "God said so"

But when Hillary or Obama goes to church, it is a nice photo op.

I hate double standards.!

Why do Republicans profess to be religiously moral yet they are convicted at a rate of 3 to 1 to their Democratic counterparts for criminal activity? And yes these are documented numbers, check the DOJ website.

Also food for thought since you seem to not have many good ones, why do Republicans USE religion as a tool so that people will incorrectly believe they are the party of morality? Trying to pick up men in the bathrooms at an airport or attempting to hook up with a young male page for a homosexual lust craving isn't exactly moral is it? You want more examples?

I think between George Bush's lies, stealing and killing of our American troops to line his and Cheney's pockets has created much more sin than the last 4 democratic presidents combined.
These troops are NOT protecting OUR freedoms either, they're protecting the Bush family and Dick Cheney's retirement fund while middle class America foots the bill once again.
The taxes Bush allegedly is saving us from will come back to haunt us all over the next 40-60 years paying off his RECORD deficit spending frenzy.

Today it was announced Bush sent a bill to Congress for 555 Billion dollars more, not including the already 189 Billion dollars he is receiving for the continuation of the Iraq war.

You want to talk hypocrisy? I think you'd better crawl back under your self-righteous rock and come here with some facts next time Junior.

Now smoke that!

We have no problem with a person practicing their religion - President or otherwise....

Where the problem comes in is when the loud-mouthes self-righteous "religious" jerks start shouting from the rooftops about their beliefs and denigrate those who don't believe exactly as they do.

Religion is a private thing and should be kept in the home and church....

I don't dislike the religious right...I just don't want them trying to shove their beliefs into my political left. There is wisdom in the idea that there should be the separation of church and state, and the political atmosphere clearly shows that is happening, at this particular time. Their religious preference doesn't interest, or influence, me.

There is a difference between attending church and hijacking the government for the aims of your church. Though apparently some of the less intelligent followers of the religious right don't realize this.

one has nothing to do with the other and certainly the "church" doesn't belong in the same sentence.
The reason that democrats have a reasoned dislike for the right is because they are pious, self righteous, blow-hards that use religion as a club to beat others over the head.

I'm pretty sure the churches the Clintons went to didn't preach hatred like how the 'religious' right is doing.

Because they are a bunch of hypocritical SOBs who manipulate and mold everything to their liking while discrediting their enemies. Jesse Jackson as a spiritual advisor, though??? Ha! That's a good one. He and Sharpton are the biggest racists in history.

Because the "religious right" forces their beliefs onto others. The Clintons did not.
