I'm not a big KISS fan, but I love rock. I feel they definately should be in the RNRHOF. They were such a huge force in rock in the 70's, commanding legions of adoring fans. I'd really like to know the reason they aren't in...
...Was it because they took their makeup off?!? C'mon that's pretty petty. They did put it back on afterall.

I can't think of a single reason. Been a huge Kiss fan for sometime & they've definitely had a big impact on rock. They put on a great show & have an incredible amt of albums & hit songs.
BOSTON is another band which keeps getting snubbed too.
Unfortunately, the R&RHOF nomination process is more political than merit based. Just looking at the past inductee list would make any rock fan scratch their head:

yeah that's really odd. Not a big fan, but they have made some very successful music and have been one of the most popular bands forever. they should get in

because people that are the big shots of the music corporate world ya know the people that try to destroy such arts such as Rock & Roll wont get their heads out of their ***!!!

I can't figure that one out, either.They revolutionized hard rock and, figured out how to commercialize the whole carreer. I figured they would roll in right behind AEROSMITH!

I cant stand KISS but they do have a huge following and they did revolutionize a genre.
