Red Sox are better. Thats why they won the world series. The Yankees have been unsuccessful in their attempts to buy a championship. The Red Sox have better team chemistry and more players that care more about winning than personal stats.
The next world series championship is coming to Philly.

The past couple of years the Sox have been better but the Yankees will not be a team to be taken lightly next season or any season. The Sox have won 2 titles in the last 4 years but even though the Yankess haven't won title since 2000, they still go down in baseball history as the all time winningest team in American League history. I have respect for the Red Sox as a team. Even though the Red Sox has won 2 titles in 4 years, I still don't consider them a dynasty. If, & that's only if they can win say 5 or 6 in a 10 years span, then I will say dyansty but not until.

Yankees
The Red Sox will forever live in the shadow of the Yankees. No matter how much success they endure, the Red Sox will always be the number 2 team.
Since 1912-1918, there hasn't been a significant stretch of time where the Red Sox were better than the Yankees. That's why the Sox fans brag about individual seasons where they were better. They brag about the 2004 season and the 2007 season, because the only clear era of dominance over the Yankees that they can brag about are the 1910's.
They love to use the term "this century" because they live in denial. They want to pretend the Yankees 26 championships and Red Sox 86 year losing streak never happened. It's pitiful, really. Well even in "this century", so far the Yankees are the better team. The Red Sox may have won 2 world championships, but that doesn't prove dominance. They had 1 good year where they were best team. The Yankees have still beaten them 6 out of 7 times in the division and won 2 Pennants.
As a franchise they will never be better than the Yankees. Sure, they have their individual seasons where they are better than the Yankees, but as a whole, when you add everything up at the end of the day, the Yankees will always be the best.

Well both are the Red Sox they are going to be unbelievable next year. So all you Yankee Fans don't expect much next year. For all the people you say NY Yankees cause they have 22 more World Series Rings well it's going to be 21 by the end of this season. I will bet anything you want on it.
Sinatra I will bet you anything the next 3 years the Red Sox will dominant the AL East. The Red Sox rotation is 100 times better than what ever you call what the Yankees have.

The Yankees will always be the better franchise. I am a huge Yankees fan and I admit the Red Sox have been better than the yankees recently but come on. 26 > 7 End of discussion.

just the names of the teams give you the answer, yankees mean pride, power and pinstripes, yankees is where players become legends, yankees means bronx bombers, yankees means winners, most successfull sports franchise in the history of sports, red sox means 86 years of loosing, red sox means bill buckner blowing a series, red sox means second place again, red sox means wait until next year.
