If you've been in the service for 10 years of your marriage, she's entitled to a part of your retirement under the Spouse Relief Act. Otherwise, she's outta luck. Good luck to you.

Nope you have to be married for 10 yrs. My husband is also in the air force. I jokingly remind him that he only has 1 more yr to divorce me unless he wants me to get some of his retirment LOL.

Yea, the 10 years is correct..you have not been married long enough for her to get any of your retirement money

Consult an atty for sure. But.... I do beleive you are responsible for alimony half the time you were married. I would say she has not claims on your retirement. Your marriage was entirely too short but I am not an atty.

No she is not, just help her get a place and help her financially till she gets a job (max 5 months). If she needs the help, she is not your daughter so you don't have to take care of her after the divorce.
