Nooooo not at all. Michigan doesn't have the personnell to run Rodriguez's spread option offense. There's a reason Greg Schiano and Les Miles were interviewed before he was.... He's not the best choice.

It's going to be a tough transition from what the Michigan players are used to and what they are going to be forced to switch to. Look for some transfers and star WR Mario Manningham to declare for the NFL draft.

He's going to have TONS of pressure on him to win MULTIPLE National Championships since he's at the historic program that is Michigan. They'll give him a couple years to get some players in but if he's not contending for a championship in his 3rd year, the fans will want to destroy him.

When Nebraska tried to change their traditional style attack to a spread offense, they suffered a great deal...just look at what they did this year. They started off ranked in the top 20 and won 5 games... It'll be interesting to see if the same thing happens to Michigan...

Oh yes, and he better beat my Buckeyes unless he wants to be fired REAL quick...LOL

He should be good. He won a lot of games with WVU, so I think with Michigan talent he should contend for the national championship.
For the record, purdue has been running the spread for 7 years in the big ten. OSU and even Penn state run it at times.

He - along with Ron Zook at Illinois - will change the type of offensive game played in the Big Ten & may surprise some pundits next season. He will bring a renewed enthusiasm and aggressive style that will yield better results in his first season and have the tean solidly back in the Top Ten nationally in year two.

He did good things at WVU and Michigan doesn't need too much work to be back in the race to the National Title each year. I think getting some fresh blood in that program will be good for them.

He'll do ok there, his real test will be when he has to start recruiting.
