That drives me absolutely nuts when they forget to !!!
The lid is supposed to be shut, that way bacteria doesn't get out and get into your toothbrushes and things !

I don't have to. It keeps falling down on it's own. Seems I pee a lot, so I got one of those seats with the open front, but most of my male friends have very bad aim and still leave drops and splatters. I keep a spray bottle with water and bleach handy under the sink. I've never understood the womans' point. What do you want? Up or down? Why must men have to make it nice for you to use? Why don't you put it up when you're through? Quid pro quo Don't start! Lol

Men leaving the seat up so that women have to lower it is no worse than women always leaving it down so that men always have to raise it. That's equality. Women are the first to complain about equality, so they should share equal toilet seat raising / lowering duties. I'm sick of women telling me it always has to be down, just for THEIR convenience.

I always put both lids down - much neater.

Guys - do you realize that when your lady wants the seat down, she only cares about her part?

I always thought that they wanted both parts down because they didn't want to see a toilet bowl when they walked in there. But I have been advised that this isn't so.

No, they are just selfish and lazy enough to just always want it to be their way. How rude is that??

And how typical.

I was "scolded" for not putting the seat down one day so I started putting the lid down too thus giving HER one to lift.

You guys better!

The first time I met my brother in law, he left the toilet bowl seat up, and I have not liked him since. That's one of my pet peeves.
