I have vista home prem. bought from wal-mart for $160 it is a uprgrade disc. still have the original box with the key. I am swapping out the mobo/cpu/ram in my current comp which im sure will deactivate it, how much trouble will I have getting microsoft to reactivate?

Its ok, just mobo/cpu/ram probably won't deactivate your OS.
Anyway, I doubt you will have much trouble reactivating you OS, people upgrade their PCs all the time, and MS gets lots of calls each day about this very topic.

Very little trouble. They give you a few different shots with the key, and if that don't work you can call them and explain it to them
The problem is none of the old installed drivers will work on the new hardware, so it's gonna have fits and you will probably have to re-load, but it should still have all the programs you started with
