so the deal is my boyfriend and i have been together for about two years and living together for about 4 months. things will be really great for awhile, and then randomly he will go into this weird mood, where he's quiet, doesn't make efforts to even say hi when i walk through the door and isn't 'intimate' if you know what i mean. if this had happened just once, i could understand, but this has gone on for months now, god week, bad week.... i give him space, but im tired of waiting for him to come around, i need an explanation. anyone have any suggestions of what i should do, sitting down and telling him patiently that i need an explanation and that im going crazy doesnt work. and does anyone know the possible problem? and i thought maybe he is getting tired of the relationship, but then a week or so he warms back up again. so thats most likely not it either. i would appreciate ANY comments or suggestions.

peace :)

sounds like some serious mood swings. could be some sort of depression. you need to talk to him candidly and supportively and discuss maybe seeking some professional help. maybe try couples counseling so you're not putting all the pressure on him and then a counselor can suggest if he needs something more. if you expect this to be a long term relationshp that keeps growing, you need to address these things now, and address them together.

It could just be how he is....in which case you have to decide if you can deal with this for the rest of whatever, however long you spend with him. Sounds like it would make for a stressful couple of days! Maybe if he knew that you were that serious about the relationship, he would open up and tell you what's going on. I know it isn't always black and white, stay or leave...just think about whether you love him enough to love him through this and if the answer is yes, commit to trying to help him figure out what's going on.

People live together to see what it is like. Now you know what it is like with him. Do you want that the rest of your life? If not, get out. Find another.
