No. The US has enough checks and balances to prevent such an action. Members of the military are sworn to protect the US and uphold the constitution.
Why would you be interested in overthrowing the current government anyway? You'd actually prefer a military coup in the US than to let the elections play out? Not a very bright thought in my opinion. A stupid question overall.

Current government where? In the US, no way.
Travel the world, our government is much less corrupt then most although it does need a serious overhaul. No lobbyists, if a trip is worth taking taxpayers (you and I) should pay for it not a company, campaign financing needs yet another over haul (get company, lawyers, ie special interest money out of it, each person in each of those entities has a voice why do they deserve 2?), etc....

NO. That is not how Americans do things. You confuse disapproval with the current administration with how Americans view our system of government. With the exception of the small minority of extremists on the right, Americans supportour system of government.
As for the Bush regime--we will do what we've always done--contain the damage and vote the turkeys out in the next election.

No, we have the option of voting them out in four to six years.
The present administration has been an aberration of history. Usually they want to stay in power, or keep their party in power and that limits how badly they neglect the popular voice.
We have never trusted the military, no matter how much we talk about supporting the troops. There is no kindly general who has successfully won a war for us, no Eisenhower.
We may respect the military, but not to run the country.

only when the situation becomes so unbearable....ie famine, pestilence and extreme poverty get out of hand throughout most of the country will a coup de tat have a chance. how much famine, pestilence and extreme poverty do you see around the country?

Yes, our government is so corrupt that one day we will use civil disobediance and a tax revolt but i think some of the leadership will go with us,, I think Bush has proved there is no hope with the republicans they just spend as much as the Democrats, its time for a tax revolt for sure,
