If you are an non-believer do you automatically think that most people who are Christians are going to push their beliefs on you? If you are a Christian, do you automatically believe atheists will hate or be intolerant of your beliefs?

Yes. I try to be considerate and respectful of the beliefs of others, just as I would want them to treat me.
Even those who are a little pushy with their beliefs...I know that they have good intentions.

I don't like the word tolerant in this respect. You tolerate an itch or an irritant. You tolerate something you don't like, but have no recourse but to put up with. So I chose to use another word here. I am a Christian and I accept and respect other peoples beliefs or lack there of. I have studied various religions and know enough about them to understand what they are and represent. I have found that if treat other people and their beliefs this way, they do the same for mine.

I really try to be tolerant of all people regardless of their beliefs, race or nationality. I may not believe what they do, but I never try to force my beliefs on them nor do I act rudely towards them... Altho, I do not appreciate anyone getting "in my face" with their beliefs & trying to make me feel like I am wrong & need to change to their way of thinking.

I would say I'm a pretty tolerant Christian. I have many friends of different beliefs and it's no problem..I pray for them, but arguing or being pushy towards others of different beliefs won't get you anywhere !

:)

Yes I'm tolerant. In fact I'm a believer who is interested in learning about different people's beliefs. And no I know that not all Atheists are mean spirited towards believers. In fact there are many Atheists and even Agnostics who want to be left alone and don't want to be bothered either. And I don't go around bothering anybody with my beliefs.

Tolerance is the only way to live in peace.

I am a Catholic. My husband is an Anglican. I used to work with Moslims.

Unless someone is a satanist (not for religious reasons... I just think is a bit creepy) then I don't really care a whole lot what religion people follow.
