Today I got pulled over for speeding by one of the officers that work with my husband. I didnt get a ticket but of course he told my husband who was pissed off. He said that when he gets home my butts gonna pay for it. What can you do when your husband is literally "THE LAW" (and a very high ranking police officer if that)

It depends on if you've been physically abused or not. That includes unwanted sexual advances, even though this is your husband.

Some couples use those kind terms playfully, but if that was the case, I assume you wouldn't have posted here.
If you've been physically abused, you need to leave the house. Take whatever you absolutely need, and whatever he might destroy that's valuable to you. Take the kids if he's been physically abusive, and take what they need, too.
I'd go to a friend's or a relative's house. The further you go, the better, i.e., the next town, the next state, etc.
Even if you haven't been abused, if you think you will be, go anyway.
Either way, if you stay or you leave, this doesn't have to be the end of your marriage. You need to sit down and work whatever problems out you have, and if it has to be by phone, then so be it.

Controlling anyone isn't the way to make things work, be it an employee or a spouse. People work for you, live with you, etc. because they want to, not because they have to. Many folks (like your husband) need to understand this.

Oh, and don't fuel the fire any more, either... slow down some, ok? :)

There is ALWAYS someone who ranks HIGHER. Everyone, answers to someone higher. I know that they stick together .. but there are other ranks who are located in the same city. You may not choose to contact.

With the remark that your butts gonna pay for it ... sounds like a daddy talking. If he hurts you .. you don't have to take it anymore.

Get away from him if he is abusive.

You may find this amusing .. but I once heard a really tough guy say .. "where there is a bear, there is a bear-catcher" ,, meaning there is always someone else who can handle someone else.

Just because your husband is the "law" ... does not mean you have to take abuse. You don't have to take it .. verbal, or physical.

he was out of line and you should tell your husband about what he said to you. and if you do pay for it when hubby gets home then you do what anyone else would do:call the law and report his butt. THE LAW SHOULD NOT BE INTIMADATING YOU, and if your husband does, then it's time to reevauluate what you have.
good luck

I think you may want to contact an abuse hotline. If he isn't already hurting you, he's getting ready to start. Quite a few men become police officers because they like the power. They like being able to control others. Please stop this before it gets out of hand.

Tell him to Puck off.. No one should ever talk to you like that even if he is the law.. Stacy Peterson ring a bell, her husband was the law too and she is missing and he probably killed her.. Don't let him talk to you like that... ********...

Has he ever hurt you or abused you in anyway? Because his words sound VERY threatening to me! Bear in mind that abuse is not always just physical. There is sexual abuse, emotional abuse, verbal abuse and psychological abuse, too. And physical abuse doesn't just entail hitting or putting your hands on someone. It also entails throwing things and hitting other things to scare someone into doing what you want.

Meet him at the door wearing nor pants or panties. Bend over and tell him that your butt is ready to pay. He'll laugh his butt off and you'll have won the day. Enjoy.

If that was a literal threat, then it is time to leave town. Move out without taking anything while he is at work and don't look back.

ummm.....are you telling me he's going to be very upset because you were speeding?

Are you kidding me? Name one person (police included) that has never speeded before? I bet that's one small list.

I don't get your question. Are you afraid he's going to hurt you? If so, leave him.

My husband almost completed police training before deciding it wasn't worth it for him- but if he had, I wouldn't care. He still can't make my butt *pay* if he got ticked off at me. Woopty Do- he wears a badge on the streets- but not in your house!
