I purchased a wine fridge. The front had to huge strips of tape keeping the door closed in the box, when I removed it, I now have stringy, sticky residue on the glass. I've tried scrubbing with soapy water, tried nail polish remover, and alcohol. Help me please
thanks
Chris

Scrape off as much as you can with a flat razor blade first. Then wd40, turpentine, gasoline, acetone, paint thinner, Goof Off, rubbing alcohol - all of these would remove the sticky residue on a rag.
Goof off would be my top pick.

Was the nail polish remover the kind with acetone? Because it's the acetone that is the remover.

Use WD-40, it dissolves the glue like a charm. Trust me I use it all the time for this.
