Typically, with things of that nature, the staff will only give the slightest of details to insulate a President from being charged allowing a President to truthfully claim lack of knowledge. Completely honest? No; I'm sure he had a broad idea of what was happening but not enough to take a full hit. Plausible deniability is used by all Presidents, corporate leaders, etc.

Ah yes, the good old "I don't recollect" answer. I always believed he was fibbing about that but is it possible that his Alzheimers already started while he was still in office?

To the guy who says "who cares" - okay fine then stop putting up Saint Ronald as the epitome of a great president. Get over it.

I believe what his doctor testified to. " Ronald Reagan had the first signs of early onset Alzheimer's while he was Governor of California"

I doubt if he remembered what went on from day to day.

For all you Reagan fans look up Early onset Alzheimer's read about it. He could have easily had a sound mind for most of his presidency But his short term memory would have been effected.

The special prosecutor, Lawrence Walsh, who was certainly privy to all the facts in the case, did not believe Reagan was telling the truth. Why should I believe otherwise?

you're excusing your behaviour and not taking finished duty. Your spouse is excusing her behaviour and not taking finished duty. And now you're so centred in this one component. What difference does it quite make if she cheated earlier you cheated or not? have you ever had any reason to think of she's being untruthful in different approaches? If not, enable it pass. Or greater useful yet, pass see a counsellor.

There was probably a slug, living comfortably under a rock that believed, other than that, only those who desperately WANTED to believe.

I believe Caninele said it very well.
"Will no one rid me of this thorn in my side, this Thomas A Becket?"
And, if you think it doesn't matter, you'll never be able to tell the difference between wild eyed conspiracy flakes and genuine conspiracies.

As I recall, he disavowed the knowledge...then when it was proved he DID know, he owned up to it and took responsibility...Much like a famous B.J. that comes to mind. heeheehee
