You may be experiencing a problem with your brain chemistry, in which case you should see your primary physician and get a referral to a psychiatrist. The psychiatrist can determine whether you are sick, e.g. a brain tumor, that could explain your change in mood. If he or she can eliminate the possibility that a physical disease is the cause of your mood disorder, then you can pursue talk therapy with a pyschologist or social worker or try to work things out for yourself.

If your thoughts include hurting yourself or others, then you really owe it to yourself and your friends and family to get some help on your own or with their assistance.

Good luck.

That's because it is, my friend. You know how to describe what you are feeling inside. I cannot explain to you, how many times I hear this...and know what it feels like....in my work.
I am a social psychologist, but nevermind that.....
What concerns me is that you are describing some of the feelings of someone who is experiencing what nowadays is called major depression. But nevermind that either....
You want to be able to smile again and not wake up feeling all alone. What started as the blues, became something stronger, and feels heavy.
Sense of purpose?
There are people out there that devote their entire lives to finding people like you, and helping out.
I am one of them, and there are some in your community.
Go find yourself again.

Go out and have fun with some friends, that always brings me up, go to the city, go see a movie, avoid drinking alcochol or doing negative things though, if you are feeling bad do things that are innocent but fun
