An eight inch bearded dragon is what is referred to as a juvenile (1 - 2 years) in the reptile hobby. For example, a baby or neonate (under a year) would be about 6 inches or under and a adult would be about 12 inches or over. This is a rough but fairly accurate answer.

Hope I helped : )

Hi my name is Gary Colemen from t.v's Different Strokes and being famous back in the day has allowed me to meet many bearded dragons. Height means nothing so an eight inch dragon can be as old as it wants to be. Don't hate on it because it is only eight inches.

An 8 inch one year old dragon would be WAY under nourished and/or not properly heated and no UVB exposure!!

A healthy beardie would only be a few months old at 8 inches

sure species are genetically programed to realize a definite length and as quickly as they attain it they could desire to offer up turning out to be barring some form of ailment or project or genetic mutation. Lizards are a somewhat straightforward layout and could improve to finished length rapidly if circumstances and nutrients is optimum. It sounds to me such as you picked a healthful specimen with solid genetics and function taken very solid care of it congratulations I relatively have latest in my Leopard Geckos at urge for nutrients is definitely inherent which leads me to think of it may desire to be hereditary. So i might anticipate that your beardie would be on the bigger end of the person length selection and because it quite is in all probability to offer up turning out to be quickly i might feed it greater to escalate the excellence as a splash larger beardie might in basic terms be that lots cooler. solid pastime !
