Yes, but that was a long time ago. A friend... it was tragic 'cause the friendship ended because of this.

I have been the object and I have had unrequited love.

It is really awful and hurts. But the best I could do was move on. Be kind to all...but honest. That is the answer

Yes, just several months ago this guy who hung out a couple times with a friend of mine. This guy would tell my friend that he was in love with me and he'd write blogs on myspace about how I was the only one who could relate to him and all this stuff about me being "the one" - I never liked this guy. I am a happily married woman. Even if I was single...I was in no way interested in this guy and finally I told him flat out I didn't want him around me anymore and that Vitali wouldn't be hanging out with him either. That last part wasn't really my choice though, Vitali saw this guy's minor obsession as a red flag and didn't want to be friends with a nut job.

Not that I know of, I don't think I'd know if it were unrequited.

More than once....
I was able to maintain a friendship with all but one who stalked me mercilessly for years....and still would if he were not terrified of my husband.....
Peace.

Yes. I felt SOOO bad about it, really horrible, guilt. I still do feel bad about it, and it was 20 years ago. I just can't help that I didn't love him though. I just didn't.

One or twice, yes.

I've also had my love unrequited, so it's gone both ways.

Not to my knowledge. But it sounds like it could be worthwhile.
