True, my husband called me that when we were dating and I told him he better not ever do it again if he wanted to keep on seeing me.

In general, it doesnt offend me at all. If a friend said it to me (as in called me a *****) then I might be slightly offended, if she was serious. And yes, it does matter who it comes from. If it came from someone who I thought very highly of, for example, then of course I'd care. Or if it came from like my crush, then yes I would be offended. And if it was said like, yelled at me in anger, then of course it would have a greater impact, Id be embarassed and ashamed and hurt probly. But in general, no. The word ***** does not offend me. I use the word lightly, actually. As in I sometimes mumble '*****' to my mother. I call my friends bitchesjokeingly etc..

False, I'm not offend - But there is three people that can't call me that (my daughters and husband) that's because I take care of them. Anybody else can go to HELL. If you're going to get offend at someone calling you out your name you'll be offend everyday of your life.

No. The word is so overused that it's lost all meaning to me. I hear the word tossed around all day at my office and among my friends.
I'll tell ya what word really does offend me, though -- it's the ultimate insult to a woman, and it starts with a "C".

I assume youre speaking of b i t c h yes it is offensive if a person refers to another person using it since it is after all a reference to a female dog.
I think it is especially wrong if a man refers to a woman using that word.

It depends who says it too me. My and my friend call each other that all the time but if some random person on the street would call me that then I'll get pissed. Then again any random person saying any regular word in a angry tone would get me mad.
