Uninstall the drive then restart windows, it will automatically reinstall the cd drive and the drivers with all the default presets......

Right click "my computer"
click on "properties"
click the "hardware" tab
click "device manager"
Now, find "dvd/cd rom drives", and click the plus sign next to it
right click the drive your having issues with and click "uninstall"

What happens is the registry doesnt get updated correclty, or a driver goes haywire and you just need to reinstall things sometimes and viola! This should work for you.......

Open My Computer
Right Click on the CD drive and select Properties from the menu
Go to the Autoplay tab and set up the actions you want.

reinstall the driver...if u don't know what that means search it on yahoo on how to reinstall a cd driver...i'm to lazy to get into detail...plus i kinda forget how to do it though i did it once so it's possible...
