Its a Chevy S-10,4.3L V-6,W Series,it has 199,832 miles; 1)Last week i started it up,threw it in reverse and it died, would not start again! 2)I may have damaged the starter or starter solenoid while cranking it over as the battery was loosing its charge(it was a clunk sound)? I charged the battery and now it barely cranks over but it will turn over! Im assuming there are two seperate issues and once i get it cranking over again i will still have the original problem of it not starting...I recently replaced the spider injector and think it might have something to do with the original problem! Any suggestions???

Slow cranking is a sign of weak battery, bad starter or bad connections on the cables.
Clean all the battery cables and try it.
Still slow cranking?
Get jumpers on from a good car. If it cranks fast now, your battery was on its last leg and no amount of charging will fix it.
After that my guess would mean a new starter.

good luck............

Any independent mechanic can do a starter amp draw test. It sounds as if the starter bushings could be badly warn and the starter brushes that ride on the commutator could be well used. When your that far inside a starter go for a new Bendix, bushing and back plate plus a solenoid. Things soon add up if you do it up right go for an AC Delco starter from a distributor or parts store that carries them.

could be the starter motor, or the fly wheel. Hope it's the starter motor, easier to fix. If it is the fly wheel, then you have to take out the engine and the Tranny to get to it, a weeks or more worth of week at the shop.

start with the simple stuff first, clean the battery cable connections at the battery, at the starter, and the grounds.
