I checked it out on Yahoo movies, and I think it looks like it'll be good.

Do you think it'll be worth it to go see it?
:)

Some people will be disturbed by the imagery. People running from billowing white clouds coming from collapsing buildings--might set off people sensitive to 9/11 images.

It is PG13, so I don't look for the gore/grossness to be too high.

I kind of agree though--most movies released in January are real stinkers, and movies with this much hype almost never deliver on the goods.

I think it will be an interesting failure.

I think I will go see it because of their brilliant marketing scheme. But I think it will be a fairly good monster movie. Probably not as good as the Host (highly recommend it) or King Kong. But it is filmed with a hand held camara which should make things scarier. The fact that the director has little experience and the writer has only written for television might be a little worrisome.

Overrall though, i'm expecting a very entertaining movie.

Over-hyped. I really don't see the attraction here. I got sick of the Blair Witch after one viewing. Why would I care if there is a monster movie made the same way? Plus I am really getting tired of JJ Abrams.

It could be good, but much like Snakes on a Plane and Grindhouse when movies are hyped this much it is because they are crap.
