Citizens of Rome we were very lucky to be able to interview Brutus. So here is the interview for you to see:
Eman: Hi, there Brutus.
Brutus: Hello, there Eman.
Eman: I wanted to know what the relationship between you and Brutus was.
Brutus: Caesar and I were best friend I loved Caesar, but I loved Rome more.
Eman: So why did you and the conspirators plan the assassination.
Brutus: I received many letters from the citizens of Rome saying that Caesar wants them to be slaves. So would you rather Caesar live and for us to be slaves, or Caesar die and live free.
Eman: So this is the reason that you and the conspirators killed Caesar.
Brutus: Yes of course I loved Caesar I would never kill him for no good reason.
Eman: What did Caesar tell you when you stabbed him?

Brutus: He told me “Et tu, Bruté?”
Eman: Oh, ok I see.
Eman: What was the relationship between you and your wife Portia?
Brutus: Portia and I had a very caring and loving relationship. But, around the time we were planning the assassination we had many problems.
Eman: What kind of problems Brutus?
Brutus: She started complaining that I’m hiding things from her and that I’m not there for her. She felt like I was planning something bad and she wanted to protect me. She’s a very intelligent women she was right.
Eman: How did Portia die?

Can someone please check this for me? It's an interview with Brutus about Julius Caesar.

OK, I've polished your intereview a little. However, I think there are at least three deeper questions that you should work in at their proper places: (1) What does Brutus think Caesar meant when he died saying "Et tu, Brute?"? I don't mean what the words mean, but why Caesar uttered them at that moment. You could have the interviewer echo them, but in English, and then ask. (2) Have the interviewer ask whether Brutus told Portia what he was planning, and when Brutus says no, ask him why not. (3) Why, in Brutus' opinion, did Portia commit suicide? Once he answers that one, the interviewer should ask him whether he still believes he did the right thing.

Well, for starters, you may want to ask Brutus what his relationship with Caesar was, rather than what his relationship with Brutus was (second comment by Eman) :).

But otherwise it does seem like the kind of comments or excuses we might hear in a modern "talk show" interview!
