okay, let me explain this so that it makes some sense... i already have 2 children, and dont remember feeling this with them. i am 23 weeks pregnant, and have had a really hard time putting on weight.(keep in mind i already weigh about 200 pounds) i didnt worry at first, but being down 5 pounds at 6 months has all of my doctors worried. ive had numerous ultrasounds, and the baby is fine and is putting on weight like she is supposed to, but i am worried about my bones and muscles. Not the question, it just kind of goes with it. my question is, is it normal to feel the baby laying sideways, and causing serious cramps in my side? if i push up against her, she will move and it will alleviate it for a while, and if i am up and moving around it doesnt bother me at all, it seems just to get to me when i have been sitting down for a while. sorry for the long message, i just did'nt want anyone having to ask nore questions intead of just giving me an answer. thanks

Actually I had the same problem with my daughter she would lay that way and cause cramps. Nothing came of it I was just extreamlly uncomfortable, I wouldn't worry about it. Congratulations on the new baby.

My son used to put his foot up between my rib cage and the muscle. It hurt allot. He would do this mostly when he was relaxing. I would push from the top and move his foot down, but he would put it right back. Its also easy to get muscle cramps if your low on vitamins or fluids or anything else you can imagine. If the ultra sounds and the doctors say your baby is fine don't worry about it. (I know, I know, easier said then done.) Just try to listen to your doctor, and do everything he says to try and get your weight up. It doesn't hurt to not gain too much during your pregnancy if your over weight to begin with as long as your getting enough food, and the nutrition you and your baby need.
