I'm slower to trust now that I'm older.
But, I've learned that the truest of friends come from the most unlikely places. And the ones that are "true" friends don't even have to say it...they just are. It's a very content feeling. I only have a few...but, those few are better than 100 "so-called" friends.
I think the word "friend" is just as important as the word "love"....You use it when you MEAN it!!!

Yep, after the last time I had to dig the knife out of my back from my so called friend I decided to never let that happen again so I dont make friends. I have people I know and say hello to but I do not get friendly enough with people or let them get close enough to get that knife close enough to my back ever again. I leanred my lesson one too many times.

You never know who your real friends are until you need one. I have one in Wisconson, one in Florida, one in Virginia, one in South Carolina and one in Wales. There are several spread out around the country. I think I have a few others, but their loyalty hasn't really been put to the test yet.

I would sure hope so as it would be a terrible thing if I'm friends with people who really can't stand me and are really my enemies while I'm thinking that they're my friends.

Yes, they are always proving to me just how good of friends that they are, I just hope that I do as well in return to them, they know who they are and they are the greatest!!

Yep, theres only 3 people I would consider my actual friends.
I don't expect the rest of them to be there when I'm old.

yeah, my friends are who love me, who trust me, who ALWAYS there for me no matter what, who like me for who I am
and I have just the same feelings for them
so I think I know who my friends are ~

yes, i do. there was a time long ago when i didn't so i know the frusteration of not really knowing who has your back or doesn't.
