Yes is safe. I ran my SmartWhois out of New Zealand and here is the data. Plus the webpage is 100% clean as my antivirus as a realtime scanner that will kill in a second any embedded trojan or spyware in a webpage.

Looks hokey but I'm guessing they offer the software for free if you do something in return (surveys, magazine purchases, credit card signup, etc)
