While cleaning the oven, the tempered glass cracked on my oven. We're having people over, and I'm curious if we can cook in it for one night. Anyone know if that'd be okay?

yes but you'll lose heat.

did it crack or shatter? crack means it is pyrex (one crack) you could cook dont even bother taping it, if the crack goes edge to edge its done cracking, the tape would melt.
if there is millions of little cracks its tempered, dont use it. the next heat (time you cook) will most likely blow out the glass and taping it will not help it will melt

I guess you could but why would you want to what ever you try to cook is going to take forever to get done because your going to lose heat, try ordering out or go out for dinner I'm sure they'll understand. Good Luck

It won't work very well. Prepare your meal on the stove top or microwave oven if you have one.

I wouldn't take a chance on it. Use your microwave or order out. You could end up with pieces of glass in your meal.
