Rock or Rap?

I keep a variety in my music since I feel that every genre has something to offer, but I will have to choose rock.

This arguement really irritates me because they are two totally different styles of music but they both have different levels of skill in bands.
Example -

Rap - There are some really rubbish rappers out there that dont make things rhyme and yeah they do only make there beat to their songs in a couple minutes. On the other hand you have skilled rap artists such as Eminem who really puts though into his lyrics and it shows in his songs.

Rock - There are surprisingly some really crap death metal bands who are like screamo but they just scream random words at you. I am not against screamo but shouting random words could be done by a 5 year old. Again, on the other hand there are some really talented rock bands out there that really put though into their songs and lyrics.

Personally i love both types of music.

Rock. Rap, hasn't had any soul or, even spirit for, many years now. it used to be real stories about, real people. now, it's just a bunch of spoiled middle class brats putting whatever words that they think young people will, pay to hear, to music.

Rock all the way. Rap sounds like ******* ****.It gives me a ******* headache,like in the car once my friend turned on I get money? And omfg it got on my nerves i ended up slapping her back head for turning it on in the 1st place -.-

both rap and rock are my favorites, but if i had to chose it would be rock ( especially the symphonic black metal genre of rock with bands like: immortal, cradle of filth, old man's child, and DIMMU BORGIR) because their sound is easier to get in to and feel.
