Yes, 1024MB = 1GB. You may see some companies list as 1GB=1,000,000,000 bytes, although that's not the case inside a computer. For the computer, 1024 bytes = 1KB, 1024KB = 1MB, and 1024MB = 1GB.

it equals a gig it's just two 512 sticks so there is more MHz between the two.
