I think ignorance is. When a person is ignorant they have the power to hurt someone yes it maybe intentional as the the person is ignorant but it still has the power to hurt that person.
But being stupid is diff rant as that person knows your stupid off hand and people tend not to pay attention to a person suffering from stupidity!

Stupidity.
There are times that ignorance can actually be a good thing.
I think it was Aristotle that said ignorance is bliss.
Sometimes it is better to just not know some things.
