I would say a sense of value is what most people need to stay happy. It can come through various different means. For some, it is to be valued as a friend or family member. Maybe what they do gives them a sense of value or how much they possess (money, things, ect.) Some of those things don't hold up when hard times come, but I find that the happiest people I know understand that they are valuable and that life has purpose for them.

If I get plenty of love and attention I get happy and in a good mood. This is different from joy Joy is a strength that you have if you have faith in God you can feel joy during a rough time of life. Happiness is a satisfied feeling you get from doing something pleasurable. What makes most people happy are things like having a nice meal, helping someone in need, getting a hug, doing a good job, spending time with friends, laughing .

I believe that having love and security together would be the combination that leads to happiness. everything else falls under the category of "details."

It depends on what happy means to you, it's different for everyone. The one thing that makes everyone happy though is love. I've yet to see someone in love that isn't happy.

Being in love with themselves. Not in a pessimistic way, but truly enjoying how their own lives have turned out; honestly believing they would rather have their lives no other way emotionally, physically, psychologically etc
