My FIRST reaction would be ....why were there TWO people picking me up,,,since you said "they". My SECOND thought would be ....how did "they" both get into ONE druid robe,,,since you said "they were wearing ""A"" druid robe",,,,,NOT TWO druid robes,,,,just "A" druid robe. one=a. My THIRD reaction would be....."A" druid robe is better for them both to be wearing than for them to arrive wearing NOTHING. As to "what would" I "do",,,,I would just try to ENJOY the date!!!!!After I got back home from the date,,,,I would just study my English grammar and maybe study a bit of spelling also.

I'd take his hand and go with him ... but my 'date' would be my husband, and I am the one with druidry in the ancestry, not him ... and it's an 'inheritied' thing, not one a person can 'take up' without having had a close relative who was a Druid ... my Grandfather was a Druid ... that's how I know ...

Depends on where we're going. Are we going to a Rennaissance event, or is it Halloween? Do I know of a particular pastime he may have been / is suggesting I become engaged in during which the robe would be appropriate? Am I cool with said pastime?

If I'm cool with it - then I'd go with it. If we're going to a Rennaissance event - let me change into my bodice and skirt, please. :D

I would ask him to change into something more appropriate for the evening and suggest that he save that robe for later on.

I would hope we were going to my initiation into the Druid circle. If not, you might want to plead sickness and stay home.

wear a helmet, shield and sword. heck, they might try to offer you up to the gods (or whatever they worship) during a full moon. this should communicate that you think it's pretty ridiculous but do take it seriously. two can play the attention-getting game and if they embarrass you, you can reciprocate with something similarly silly.

I would feel silly cause we are wearing the same outfit (I really need to talk to my dates and makes sure we are not matching I just hate it when people match it looks so planned)

I'd say - "Honey, I'm an Episcopalian. Try the tank top and hot pants, coupled with stillettos that could topple Lady Liberty - and, um, we could just, you know... hang out, you see..."

huh. laugh. ask them what they were wearing that for. get some details (ie. where are we going? what are we doing? am i underdressed??) before leaving with them. if the answers were not to my satisfaction, either change the plans to what i wanted to do or don't go.
