IS IT RIGHT FOR MILITARY MEN TO CHEAT ON THEIR WIVES BECAUSE THEY ARE "LONELY" AND IN A DIFFERENT CITY/COUNTRY ? "THE WIFE WOULD NEVER KNOW"... AND IF THE MILITARY WIFE IS IN A HOMETOWN, IS IT OK FOR HER TO USE LOCAL MEN TO SATISFY HER NEEDS WHILE SOLDIER IS OFF PLAYING / FIGHTING / TRAINING AT THE BASE ?

Absolutely not! Unfortunately, adultery is a common problem in the military.

If you are going to cheat, then why bother getting married? Being in the military and being away doesn't give anyone the license to cheat and betray their spouse. As a military person you are to be an example to society and should act accordingly--by cheating, you are showing that it is okay to do so and set a bad example and perpetuate a long-running problem. On the other hand, a woman who marries a military man goes in with the knowledge that there is a likely possibility that there will be times of separation and if their intention is to not stay faithful during those times, then the vows of marriage were simply a joke to them.

to each his own, but i say NO WAY! my husband was stationed in north carolina for over a year and is now serving in Iraq until May. Of course there were girls down in NC who love going around and hookin up with all the marines and there are ALOT of men who would give into that in a heartbeat but those girls are usually well known around base and some stay away so they dont hear **** from their wives! There are plenty of ways to get through deployments & being apart. Some people cannot live a military life because there is too much temptation to cheat, if you know what youre getting yourself into before you marry a military man, it shouldnt be a problem..It gets very frustrating and of course i have my weak points but it makes it that much better when i finally do see him to know that i am faithful to my soldier.

There is never a reason to cheat, it makes no difference what the events or circumstances are. If a couple thinks they can not be faithful it needs to be discussed in advance. Perhaps they can agree to some kind of privileges, or maybe even agree to not agree and break up the relationship. It is always better to know where you stand with your partner then finding out he or she is a cheater. Most times something will come up which will expose the cheater.

No it's not alright for this to occur - military or not. If a man (or woman) cheats on their spouse they could get in trouble... it's a violation of the UCMJ. It's up to the member's Commander to determine the punishment.
And trust me... the rumor what happends in the desert (or TDY) stays there is a lie.. it always comes back. The military is a small small world.

Look I don' t think either one should be permitted to cheat on each other because that is defeating the purpose pf getting married. First of all, your husband could die fighting in aanother country and you are worried about cheating on him. Look if you get that horny than you need to write him and tell him before you mess up because than he can let you know how he will feel about it and than it really want be cheating because he agreed to you be able to step out on him and he can't say he didn't know.

Sorry to hear anyone wonder about this . Isn't it clear that it's wrong . Did someone show you that this cheating behavior is allright ? Or do you just want to be irresponsible for your actions and are asking for permission to cheat ? There's alot more to love than sex . This world is a living Hell . Cheaters suck .

Cheating is cheating....period. You can excuse it anyway you want. Justify it anyway you want. Love should bind a couple together. Lonliness is not an excuse to make a mistake that will hurt yourself or others for a lifetime.
