And transfers are higher and higer how years are passing.
Why?Does it mean players are playing on so much better level than for example Pele or Maradona played?Cuz i think thats not the case...

Example, 100 milion euros for Ronaldinho..he is fantastic player, but u can buy all pretty decent team with that money.
He cant be worth of 11 players, or now transfers from "new huge stars", like Modric & Ivanovic, what if they just dont fit...wasted money...whats ur opinion about it?

OQ:Are you sometimes annoyed with questions that are not football related?I loved them at first, now im sick of them to be honest.

the likes of modric and ect..they put a price tag on about 15-30million once. thats a joke,he should be about 8million,sins he's good and a lower price becouse he's un proven in any of the top leagues in world & might be a flop.

the likes of 70million for the kaka's ronaldinho's are crazy they should be at least 23m full price in the 90's. now its like 100m its crazy

i think some plyers are overrated. like becks and Ronaldino.i mean look at the price 100 million for a player! that's bullsh*t.

i think the fee for the players now are greater than those for pele or maradona is because the price of every thing has gone up.
like until some years back u could get a computer for about 500$ but now the same will cost u bout 1000$,.
so the price of everything goes up.

and about buying new players that's the risk in transfering a player. he can turn into a muti billion dollar palyer and he can turn into a thousand dollar player

and i am well anoyed with the questions that are not football realted in football column

Three things influence transfer fees -- the amount of money available to spend and the law of supply and demand and the willingness of individual teams to sell (which depends on their thoughts on their ability to replace the player or sign the player to a longer contract).

If I desperately think I need player X (as opposed to just a good player at that position), I am going to have to pay more to the team of player X (and if two or three other teams are seeking the same player, the price will go up again) than I would have to pay if I had other options.

Generally speaking, it's the same thing in all big sports, the money available to spend has increased dramatically resulting in too much money chasing too few big players with even mid-level players getting very big numbers.

OK I think it's this way: First someone offers a realistic price. Then someone hears about it, and wants the player all to himself. So he offers more. And so on. Until the price that's offered gets UNBELIEVABLY high so all the media hears that too and publishes the info. And that's what we hear. But there is a long story behind those 100 million euros u mentioned.

Players r only "moneymaking objects" in the opinion of the one who hires them. Famous player=money=glory and popularity. And that's what most of them want, right?

Haha. At least that's what I think. Hey, I wonder what's gonna happen with our Ivanovic?

Yes, I agree with you not only that but there are weekly monthy and yearly fees. How do clubs get all this money? And they have t pay each player a salary. Here are the highest paid players.

1. Ronaldinho, Barcelona
Total Earning : $29.5 million

2. David Beckham, Real Madrid
Total Earning : $29.1 million

3. Ronaldo, AC Milan
Total Earning : $23.4 million

4. Wayne Rooney, Manchester United
Total Earning : $17.2 million

5. Michael Ballack, Chelsea
Total Earning : $16.8 million

Definitely agree with you. The money isn't just for their talent, it's advertising appeal, their potential, hope for titles, their reputation etc. Ronaldinho's past form and ability, his reputation is what's demanding this price not so much his current form or the fact that he has all this untapped potential, if you get my drift. But as long as we as a football community continue to demand perfection and pay the exorbitant prices for merchandise and to attend matches, it's only going to get worse with the multi million and billionaires who are monopolising the market of owning teams.

Yes I totally agree with you, I think clubs are just being greedy nowadays, yet I can totally understand for clubs to ask alot of money for their "franchise" players but you have to go until a certain point and they have definitly gone past this point and it seems there is no way of stopping them
