We are normally not required to work in the office, however they have decided that one Saturday a month we must work in the office. Other employees are required to do so but they are hourly employees.

Maybe - depends on the business, and whether what you are doing in the office is part of what you contract to do. In real estate, for example, this would be pretty common.
