IBr is the only polar molecule; a,b, & e are linear and c is planer, so the dipole moments of the components cancel.

I am assuming that a dipole moment denotes a temporary dipole or aka London force/London bond.

The answer would be b) Br2, because a London bond exists in covalent bonded molecules with less than 0.5 electronegativity so that there are no dipoles.

I will also assume that you know what London forces are. If you don't, please write back and I'll explain more.

I believe D is the answer. A,C and E has dipole moment but not NET dipole moment. For choice B, Br-Br has only momentary dipole moment.

I think D's correct.

And dude, chill. Stop sounding so desperate, pay attention in class, and do your own homework.

But then, thanks for the two points =)
