Of course normal is a subjective term, but how come we have never seen zombies? Or an alien invasion? A robot takeover, scanners, monsters, dragons, time travel, etc. you get my point. When I was younger my parents would tell me that it was because god would not allow it, but there are other horrible things that god does allow. If there is no god then why hasnt any of the things mentioned above happened?

The way I look at it, God exists or does not exist.

If He does exist, zombies and such do not exist because he did not create them.

If He does not exist, zombies and such do not exist because evolution did not produce them.

Extraterrestials may not interact with us because they may be wise enough to bellieve such interaction may be damaging to us, or because we are not of interest. Look at ourselves, and look at how we act toward primitive peoples. Most people just go on with their lives, without changing their routine. Extraterreastials may feel the same way about us.

Time travel is another subject. I suspect it is possible, but there are restrictions not obvious to us. I do not believe our descendants would visit us as tourists. If you count the infinite future, such crowd would be noticeable. Maybe there are some laws agains it. The same with robots, which do not exist at present.

Perhaps zombies are make-believe. If aliens invaded it would mean they had the intelligence to master time travel. What would an intelligent extra-terrestrial civilization want with us? Scanners? The satelite surveillance technology is probably capable of a lot we don't know about.
Humanity possesses the capacity to choose what actions it takes... war or peace, hurtful or harmless, etc. What God does or doesn't allow is interference in our free will. When and if you ever did wrong, did God allow it, or did you?
And as for monsters, I think serial killers could be catagorized as such.

Maybe your world is normal, but who defines normal?

In my world, things are a bit different. ALthough zombies are not seen, they definitely do exist, as the walking dead we see in everyday life, those who are not really "here". And who says there are no such things as time travel, fairies, goblins, monsters and dragons...There are more things in Heaven and Earth, Horatio, than are dreamed of in your philosophy.

I think all the things you mentioned are dreamed-up/imagined by humans. I don't see any reason to believe that anything that's imaginable would necessarily happen.
Another possibility is that recorded history(about 3000 years) is very short compared with how old the earth is(about 4.5 billion years) so it's possible these things just haven't happened during recorded history.

because those things you mentioned are already happening everyday in our immaginations, you should be happy that the immagination is where it ends, think about it, would you want an alien invasion to take place, and destroy everything you hold dear? its bad enough the way it is, why do you want it to be even worse?

If those things did happen then people would still thnk it was normal. People would start remarking about things we consider "normal" never happening.
