early to save them for the playoffs next week? It would be smart for the Giants to rest their starters for the playoffs. Are they oblicated now to try their best even if it is not in their best intrest?

What if Eli gets hurt trying to win this game?
I would rest my players, and to det on a playoff run, Tampa seattle GB and Dallas are beatable. (so is NE). I Hope they play their starters, but I don't think they should? I really could go eather way

The ones obligated to try their best are the players that Coughlin puts on the field.

Very good question though, now with the whole country watching...what do you do Tom.

Let's see the whole country tunes in and the Giants rest everyone...that would be a huge disappointment and a lot of people would be upset with the Giants...

However, they should not care what everyone thinks, they should do whatever they think is best.

I think they should send all starters out and try to win. They are probably not going deep in the playoffs anyway with Eli...so they could consider this a defacto playoff game and try to win.

What will they be more remembered for, Beating the Pats and preventing a 16-0 season...or resting starters and then losing in the first round of the Playoffs....

I would have to go for the win against that Pats.... But that is probably why Tom Coughlin is the coach and I am home screwing around on Yahoo Answers.

Great point.
I believe Coughlin will play his starters and see how the game is going for the first and second quarters.
If they are getting blown out he will put in the backups but if the game is close or they are playing a great game against the Pats he may leave them in as spoilers for the Pats undefeated season.
I always believe in giving the starters some playing time regardless to keep them in game condition.

Gonna be a great game to watch regardless.
