I'll bet you have an automatic transmission as Ford Taurus and the Mercury Sables never ever had standard transmissions. The only one that did was the SHO model which was pre.-97. This plan of yours will surely bust up an axle, wheel bearing CV joint, ring and pinion or the input bearings inside the transmission.

If you have an engine problem and your car rumbles we need more specific information so thet we could solve a problem. Meanwhile fix it don't bust it.

If your goal is to make the front wheels burn out find a low miler 24 valve Sable or Ford Taurus. 50 instant horsepower.

Probably not real well, just kind of.. car is way heavy, and the engine is nowhere near strong enough. You can get it to chirp the tires by reving it and throwing it in gear on a wet surface. Put like 45lbs of air in the tires to help break them loose... But seriously, you will break parts eventually doing this to an old sedan.

Don't do neutral drops...you'll ruin parts pretty quickly that way....expensive parts like axles or trans gears. Set your parking brake and rev the throttle to a couple grand RPM, pop the clutch if it's a manual trans...it's about the best way for FWD cars.....feather the parking brake to adjust your speed. Try it in a puddle of water first.

I don't think you have traction control. If it is a stick, then put the petal to the metal and when the revs are maxed, pop the clutch. If that doesn't lay a strip then your engine must be too small.

Yes, it is possible. give your car a tune up and find a mechanic in your area that has a motorvac system. I would not recommend N-drops, because you can brake axles, and or trans.

If you have traction control you need to unplug the sensors on the calipers or the sytem wont let you spin.
