If your smart and you are an avid video game player then no. But if you arent all that great you should just use the internet for guides so its cheaper, and you could probably ask queustions there.

I used a guide in places that I got stuck or I didn't want to take the time to explore... Try the game and if you get stuck and can't go anywhere for a while get a guide. Don't buy a guide, but go onto websites such as IGN to read through free walkthroughs... the one I used is http://guides.ign.com/guides/748589/

hope this helped

No, I beat it without one. Really, you're missing out on a big part of the experience if you use a guide. It's best to play it without a guide and just look on the Internet if you get really stuck.

No they spoil the whole point of the game, why buy the game if you have no intention of solving the puzzles for yourself, using guide books is effectively cheating, the whole point of a game is to enjoy it by figuring out how to defeat the challenges, if you get really stuck then just ask on yahoo answers for help on that specific part, don't spoil your enjoyment of a game by using game guides.

well for most of the game, you don't.
its pretty understandable.

but there were a few parts where me and my brother had to look up on the internet.

i wouldnt spend your money on a guide. just use the internet if you really cant figure something out.

You really don't need a guide. You should try to see if you can play it without one. If your really stuck somewhere, you can go online to get a walk-through. :)
