Harvest Moon DS Help!!!!!!!?

I cant get Floras purple heart activated im suppose to go to the inner in lobby between 1 and 4 but i cant get it to work. please help!!

just give her more gifts, and stop in there every day until it happens. (also, show her your dog)

the event doesn't make her heart purple. i'ts her purple heart that makes the event work
