Review the sec. of the U.s. Constitution which deals with the powers and role of the President (Article 1,Section 7 and Article 2). Consider the U.S. Constitution as it existed at the time the Constitution of the Confederate States was written). Finally write the essay comparing and contrasting the Presidency in each nation, giving two ways the office was similar and two ways the office was different under each constitution. I seriously dont get this i'v been stuck on this essay for 2 weeks now PLEASE would someone kindly help me figure this out im really confused?I know how to write essay's but this one is kind of hard...

Simply read both documents, which often are essentially identical in wording. The powers and the office are remarkably similar, the Confederate President being granted even such obscure, but important, powers as recess appointments, the pocket veto, and the breaking of a tie in the Senate by the Vice President. The Electoral College is copied from the Constitution with almost no changes.

So what's different? The most obvious difference is the term of office, which in the Confederacy is 6 years, but limited to a single term. If you carefully read Article I, Section 7, you'll find that the Confederate President has an important ability to restrict spending that isn't found in the Constitution, but I'm not doing your homework for you, you'll have to figure out for yourself what that is.

first, list what each of the sections (constitution of confederate states and the us constitution) say in your own words. this is called a loose outline
in the essay : introduction (one paragraph, start with a hook, list main ideas), body (as many paragraphs as main ideas) , conclusion( one paragraph)
in your essay, also consider the different powers and situations the two nations were in
