You'd have to ask them, but I'm not sure the acceptance rate necessarily means what you think it means. Mizzou is an excellent school, but it is a big school. They could have far more people applying for medical school than would the private college, and thus have more who are rejected. Or, since a private school tends to have more counseling, they could discourage more people from applying to medical school, thus leaving only the ones who are almost certain of getting in to apply. If you do well at Mizzou, you should be able to get into medical school.
