Typically, your experience will not change much. Of course, this depends on what you are doing on the Internet. The more you do like download video, music, files, games, etc, the more the Internet connection will get clogged. This also depend on your connection speed. The fast the speed the better when connecting more than one computer.
More than likely, you will not notice the difference. I have two desktops and 2 laptops all using the same Internet connection and hve never had any noticeable degradation on performance.

Slower. You will have 2 PC sharing the same Internet bandwidth.

First contact an Internet service provider( comcast , aol, etc..) and then purchase a modem and a wired/wireless router(you will need both modem and router) and configure per your ISP instructions (they will give you a disk for configuring your computers) If you need to go wireless make sure your router is both wired and wireless and if you need a wireless pci card get them from the same manufacturer as your router If your going DSL I suggest you use 2-wires modem/wired/and wireless router Its an all in one and they work great They sell for $90 (buying them separate is usually some what more) Inserting a disk only once; as its done with the software supplied , is the way to go if you havent configured modem, router, wireless router, and wireless pci card before.

If you want a faster download service get an account with a service provider that has a faster connection. It will cost more.

Slower.
If you are just browsing the web you notice at all. If you are downloading on both machines at the same time you will.
