i design shirts..how do i get them sold in stores?

im looking to get into hot topic or demo or buckle style stores.

For a chain, you'd have to convince the buyer for that department to carry your items - that's normally done from wherever the chain headquarters are. For a small independent shop, the owner would probably be the one to make the decision.
