I have my 360 hooked up through my linksys router, which is hooked to the modem which is hooked to the wall. my pc is also hooked up through the router. everytime I test network connections on my 360 it says that it fails with the MTU. I checked, and i found out that my MTU is at 1500. What's the problem, I know it's supposed to be above 1364, so why does it not work when it is set at 1500?

If the MTU is set too high your packets will fragment and cause problems. Your ISP should be able to tell you the exact MTU size to set your router to.

maybe your internet is out
ethernet is not in all the way
restarted
or xbox live is to busy
