In general:
% means to divide by 100
"of" means multiply
Therefore:
5.5% of 355
= 5.5 / 100 * 355
= 19.525

You can either divide cross multiply with 100/5.5=355/x. Multiply 355 and 5.5 (get your answer), then multiply 100 and X. Then do 100X=1,952.5 . Divide both sides by 100 and you'll get your answer.
Or...
You can just multiply .055 and 355 together and get your answer. Hope it helped ;0)
