What's the best video game system for offline co-op split screen play? Playstation 3 or Xbox 360?

If you have suggestions on good split screen co-op games please let me know.

I don't play that often but when friends come over we like to play co-op games. I still have the Xbox and I have about 40 co-op games but I've noticed with the 360 there doesn't seem to be a lot of support for the split screen.

If you have suggestions of good co-op split screen games on either system, by all means bring it on....

I really can't answer that question. The PS3 and 360 both have multiplayer games. Just to give you one example, Haze, a PS3 exclusive shooter for the PS3 will have 4 player split screen co-op in online gameplay and offline gameplay as well as other online gameplay modes. And in Haze up to 4 people can will be able to play the campaign mode online.

The Xbox 360 is the better console if you want to play online games, but I prefer the PS3 anyways because online gameplay doesn't make a game a good game, it's the story behind the game. The story in a game gives the game a purpose, online gameplay does not.

xbox 360 is way better and cheaper with more memory than the ps3 plus the ps3 does not really have any good games
