"Yet given the chance to continue attending (the name of the university), if I do not excel in all of my classes next quarter, I understand that I do not deserve to remain in this university."
that's just one sentence out of my appeal. i was almost expelled from my university for my low GPA but i appealed and improved my grades but now it lowered again (not because i can't handle it, it's due to other circumstances). i'm just wondering if that sentence is necessary/sounds good/sounds bad/??

I really appreciate all of your answers :)
Zoe, since you said you'd check back, do you think you can do me a favor by reading the appeal I wrote and giving your opinion on it because I really did like your input. Thanks :)

Thank you! I do want to send it soon, but whenever you can look over it works because you don't have to and I just appreciate it :)

Like they all said, it sounds a little... defeated.
BUT I'm going to offer you alternatives.
"I understand that I will no longer be qualified to attend..."
"I understand that my expulsion will be permanent."
"I understand that I face expulsion from this university."
Need more? Add it in your "add details" section; I'll check back.
----You bet, just attach it in an email to kaarinzoelee at yahoo and I'll look it over. When do you need it back? I can probably do it tonight.
---No problem. Ever since I graduated, I've been lacking in the homework department.

I would not use the term "do not deserve". try for the last part of the sentence; , "I understand that if I do not meet the high standards of this institution, I may be subject to expulsion. However, due to the resolution of the extenuating circumstances previously hindering my success in class, I fully expect to do well in the future and continue my education here at (name of university)"
good luck, and i hope this helped!

Like I said in your other question, I'd take out the "I do not deserve to remain" entirely. The rest of your letter is strong and hopeful, this is sort of a bummer and will spark the thoughts of the committee in a direction you probably don't want.
Just my opinion, though, I'll look forward to seeing what others say.

Forget it! If you're grades go up only when your *** is against the wall, then this college is definately not the one for you.
Get out, take a semester off, and transfer to another college. Also, what is your major??? Is it something you are really, truly intetested in?
Maybe it's time to think about another major.

You don't say the circumstances involved here, if you are a goof off you do deserve to leave, but if not, then maybe you should leave the sentence out.

i think it is good but i think you need to say something like and i am going to push myself really hard and understand learning here is a privilege and will do my best to keep my grades. up but other than that, it is good it shows you understand this school is good and if you arnt gonna do well that you dont deserve. yes good.

dont say deserve to be expelled. it means that your are not capable of expectations and goals.
You need to understand that you want to explain to them what will you do differently.
such improve study habits, meet with teachers, use tutor center. whatever it may be.
and you want to sacrifice something a job or something that is a burden. if they say no don't be upset.
just pretend you are a new freshmen going to college with a fresh start.
