It is hard to diagnose an issue like this, not knowing what waas done before this issue happened.
Try to push down on the power button until it shuts clear OFF.
Plug in your charger and make sure the battery hasn't died.
Wait for 5 minutes and with the charger plugged in push down on the powe button 1 time and don't touch anything else and see if it boots up.

Are you running Lion or Mountain Lion? If so, reboot holding the option key down, and choose the recovery partition. Boot into that and you can figure out what's going on. Report back with whatever you find.

best bet is call up apple care, somethings not right in the system boot up

i just got my mac.. no experience.. but i would google it or call apple..and you can always upgrade to leopard
