Most of the sport bikes are very similar in performance, it comes down to preference,ie: color, style, as for running after dropping it, neither bike has bash bars to protect the bodywork or engine...no difference.

The Big 4 Japanese bike makers are all VERY reliable. It really comes down to preferences. However, Hondas tend to be the most common (varies with each class of bike, but Honda dealerships are definitely the most common) which makes it easier to get parts, both new and used for those of us who like to restore bikes.

But really you can't go wrong with any of the Big 4 for reliability or performance.

between the two I'd say my experience is that the Honda is more "reliable" overall, and cheaper to repair.

Don't drop it! You may also want to look at a Kawasaki
ZX6-R. Very fun bike, no problems with mine so far. I also have had it to 140mph and it still had plenty left.
