I'll rank them in my order:

1) Peyton Manning
2) Tom Brady
3) Brett Favre
4) Ben Roethlisberger
5) Carson Palmer
6) Donnovan McNabb
7) Drew Brees

I think Peyton Manning is a better QB than Tom Brady simply because I believe Peyton Manning can succeed in any system, but Tom Brady is in a perfect union with the Patriots system. Tom Brady makes the Patriots and their system better, and the system makes Tom Brady better. That said, I think Manning would be successful on more teams than Brady would.

Favre is clearly at the end of his career, but you can't deny his career. I'm not basing this on numbers this year, but the quality of the player throughout his career.

The reason I like Roethlisberger so much is because of his intagibles. Sure he's not the human juggs machine that Carson Palmer is, but the kid has a natural instinct to just win. His competitive spirit and toughness that doesn't allow him to concede a loss gets him into trouble sometimes, but he's smart about it. Like Favre, he succeeds more at the risks than he fails. His pocket presence is under rated as is the fact that he's never played in a pass-happy system until this year. Unfortunately the playcalling for the Steelers has changed, but the personel is still built around the power game. Don't look for numbers with Roethsliberger, they wont be there, look at his wins.

Palmer is the most technically correct QB in the NFL. he's in a pass happy offense with incredible skilled talent around him. How can he not succeed? The reason I don't have him higher is because dispite his talent and his technical ability, he can't put the team on his shoulders and just win. He's also not as cerebral at the position as Manning or Brady are. He's pure pocket passer.

Peyton Manning.

Tom Brady is good, but any QB could be a Pro-Bowler behind that offensive line.

Hands Down Brett Farve. This season he has taken nearly every major milstone a QB can get. Plus he has taken the packers to 12-3 with a offensive team made of rookies and 1year pro's.

Currently I have to go with Tom Brady. He has the best weapons and won 3 Superbowls with mediocre receivers.
